When you create an account we collect your name and email address. If you subscribe we collect payment information, which is processed and stored securely by Stripe — we never see your full card details.

Progress and activity data

As you use the platform, we store your puzzle progress (solved count, streaks, accuracy), completed opening variations, endgame scores, daily challenge completion times, and leaderboard rankings. This data powers your personalized experience and progress tracking.

Information collected automatically

We collect basic usage data such as which features you use, your IP address, browser type, and device information. This helps us improve the platform.

Chess.com data

If you connect your Chess.com username, we fetch your game history via the Chess.com public API to power the dashboard insights. We don't store your games permanently — they are fetched on demand and cached temporarily.

All service providers operate under strict confidentiality obligations and process data only as needed to provide their services.

4. Data Retention

We keep your information for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete your personal data within 30 days, except where required by law.
